Filtration II All ages - Love Camp 7, Team Jedi, gyroscope., Lowdown

On the 4th March, 2000 @ Grosvenor Backroom
This gig was a fundraiser type for the local television station's music show, Filter hence the name Filtration and was a pretty good lineup aswell, with ska punk, emo/melodic punk, indie pop and whatever you could classify LOVE CAMP 7 as, catered for.

Arrived at the Grosvenor about three songs into LOWDOWN'S set, to a pretty poor turnout (with the crowd standing back somewhat or sitting down), although you wouldn't have guessed the way LOWDOWN were playing. The guys and gal were pretty energetic as usual and their ska punk went down a treat. They played ep tracks such as Stand By Your Colon, Carnival, This Time and the closer Two, which were all played pretty tightly. The small crowd seemed pretty happy with their perfromance (even though they weren't vocal about it) and LOWDOWN were a top start to this gig.

gyroscope. were next and they started up with Scalectrix with quite a few people moving closer to the stage to sample some top emo/melodic punk. Their set consisted of some newies aswell as tracks that will appear on their soon to be released (April I heard), 'Scalectrix' ep. Energetic as always the boys have stepped up a notch in my view with their live performances and just their whole song structure. They seemed to enjoy themselves and the crowd liked what they saw which culminated in So Wrong. Another top show from the guys.

Pop band TEAM JEDI were next and I don't like them so there is no review for them, like you came here to read a review for them anyway, right??

Last up were LOVE CAMP 7 and they were funny as usual, Ant coming out with a blue ice cream container converted to fit his head, with the crowd pissing themselves laughing at him. Your Mother Poses Nude In My Art Class was aired early plus also played was a new song that they 'made up last Thursday night', Wrestling Is Real, I Like It That Way, If This Is Hell and they finished with a cover, Smashomaniac and then Jack Daniels with guest vocals (sorta) by a member of the crowd with Mike then deciding to fall into the drumkit to close precedings. LOVE CAMP 7 played another good show, all in all a top gig with a pretty piss poor turnout with most that seemed bored by the whole thing.
