gyroscope.
demo cassette
A demo cassette is often the first thing a band releases, but gyroscope. did already produce a CD called First when they were Gyroscope Sunday. They have improved since then; this is better than what often goes under the name ''demo''. This tape has seven songs, and a short piece that sounds like somebody fooling around with drum machine. The songs are brash and energetic, inspired by the nineties Californian punks, with a dash of grunge and pop. The first song big huge Charlie has a soft intro then it just goes bang and barely stops to catch its breath. If this doesn't get you hopping, you're too old. Turn the tape over and first song back in the day will grab you give you a rush. A lot of the lyrics seem to refer to their childhood, which is understandable - they're still teenagers. And it's on Feeble Records, run by Dion Boredumb. Look out for more stuff on that label soon.
